This is actually happening in Oklahoma, as documented by KFOR-TV. State workers and teachers are being allowed more health care choices. The result is that they save money (and probably get better care), and taxpayers save a lot of money, too. This is what competition does. It exerts a force on providers to be more transparent, to prove their quality, and to find ways to lower their costs in order to lower their prices in order to compete. It's common sense.
